In and unprecedented and surprising  move, larry "meatseboy" mcmanus sheds some coin and actually bucks up for the Reading Open almost before the deadline.  

Payment Arragements by Meatseboy at previous Reading Opens

1993 - "The Open is only a week away - there is no sense mailing a money order (especially with the howard boys on the mailbag) - I'll just bring some cash up with me."  I'm still waiting for that cash

1994 - "I went to get some coin but my mac card was demagnetized"

1995 - "I'll catch up with you at the course - the money order machine was broken at the check cashing place"

1996 - "I would have called and arranged for payment but I couldn't call you back because I got slammed and can't make long distance phone calls anymore"

1997 - "I'll definitely be there -you can count on it". Meats failed to show of course

1998 - "I would've been there but Burnsie wouldn't pick me up in Aston"

1999 - "I ain't got no coin right now but i'm good for it".

2000 - "I'm bringing up a 4-some - I'll send money for the 4 of us tomorrow".  Surprisingly Meats actually comes through - a check (postdated July 31- just in case he fails to show) arrived 2 days later - only 1 week after the payment deadline.  Of course he forgot to send money for the entire foursome but he did cover his own entry fee - way to go Meats!!
